About This Product
Description: All concrete has small pores that can collect water from sprinklers, rain, snow, or even high humidity. Water expands when frozen. As such, when water within concrete freezes, it can create sufficient pressure to crack or lift the concrete surface creating a pit in the surface. The result over time is cracking, scaling, and breakage.
ENDURASEAL Concrete Sealer fills and seals concrete pores to prevent water from entering. As a penetrating sealer, this product seeps into the concrete pores in it’s liquid form, before reacting with atmospheric moisture to solidify and fill the internal concrete space, preventing water from entering.
Preparation: Concrete should be dry and free of dirt, wax, grease, oil, and other contaminants from the surface. Be sure to remove any prior foreign coating unless applying over a prior Enduraseal Concrete Sealer application. Clean oily spots with Enduraclean Concrete Cleaner Concentrate. Use a bristle brush for heavily oiled spots. Rinse well with a pressure washer. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and sound.
Apply only when surface and air temperatures are above 50 degrees Fahrenheit and below 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not apply to excessively hot surfaces as rapid drying may cause streaking to form.
Note: Always test a spot for compatibility to substrate and acceptability of appearance before proceeding.
Application: Enduraseal can be applied with an airless or pump-up sprayer. Cross-rolling is recommended for even application. Spray vertical surfaces from the bottom up. Two applications may be required for more porous surfaces and should apply wet on wet. Do not allow sealer to puddle or pool on the surface of the concrete. Protect surfaces from overspray especially glass. Do not apply if rain is expected within 12 hours. Do not thin. Pour into a garden pump sprayer and secure lid according to manufacturer specification. Pressurize and begin application using a circular spray pattern to saturate the surface (without puddling) as you walk backwards. Concrete will darken in color when wet and will lighten as the sealer cures, normally within 1-2 hours depending on humidity. Additional coats should be applied before the substrate dries completely.
Coverage: Enduraseal is a water based sealer with an estimated coverage of 200 sq. ft./ gallon.
